Which Cambelt? (113 Or 114)

I have the XU9JA - D6B engine, which cambelt should I be using?

 

Going by the first registered date I reckon it should be the later one (114 teeth) but I have gone by this on previous cars and bought the wrong brake pads etc so I'd like to check.

i have an xu9ja on an 89 g plate, which i believe is the earlier type with 113 teeth, acording to peugeot

Mine is a J plate with the V5 saying first reg March 1992, but as I have learnt in the past first reg date often means very little when sourcing parts.

If yours has the spring loaded tensioner then a 113 tooth belt. Only way is to eyeball it. 114 tooth belt is for the eccentric cam type tensioner fitted to very late engines.
