roland rat 11 Posted September 23, 2006 the droplinks on my 205 are starting to look tired so ive decied to replace them.i just wondered if anybody has bought a pair of ebay as im not playiny the pug stealers prices for a pair!!!
hengti 2 Posted September 23, 2006 last time i checked, they were £100ea at a dealer - that's an absolute p*ss-take for a rod with a balljoint on either end of it! they're £20ea at GSF/ECP - but quality seems very variable. i've been through loads of the things. i guess you've the same problem with ebay ones - you just don't know what the quality is going to be like. if they're cheap, they might be worth a whirl, as they're not exactly difficult to change if they turn out to be rubbish. Phil H 16 Posted September 23, 2006 (edited) Can you really go wrong for under £23 all in? Click Me Even come in boxes, as I have had them and they have not given me any aggro. Edited September 23, 2006 by Philip Hills
sonofsam 5 Posted September 23, 2006 Yeah I had a set of those. Not the best quality in the world, but..as said they are cheap, the ball joint didn't seem to be as rigid as OE ones and the rod is about half the diameter!

Alastairh 47 Posted September 23, 2006 I just done mine last week, £9 each trade at my local car shop. Word of warning. it took 2 attempts for me to get the correct ones. The top joint that fits in the shock came in a thread size for a 19ish mm nut, which is no good, or certainly wasn't for my Avos and im sure standards aswell. When there usually 16-5/8. So double check between copy brands. Alastair
