Hi, Im getting my 1.6 GTI this evening which i bought on ebay and i am wondering because the passenger side electric window doesnt work and the fog lights at the front are missing, will this be an MOT failure?????

nope, as the windows arent part of the MOT, and the front Auxillary lamps are NOT fog but DRIVING lamps, both will be advisory notes though.

I don't know about the window.

I have front fogs on mine, But I have never got round to conecting them up, and I have pasted 3 MOT's now like that.

Driving lamps are better off missing then if they are present but don't work or are broken.

Depends how bad, Stick some Firegum paste on there just before the mot.

Windows and front fogs are not testable items. I know there driving lights

Most testers will slap a bit of pug on the exhaust if its only small. Has to be an excessive leak to fail.
