pugpete1108 62 1 Cars Posted September 21, 2006 now i know that in order to use any upgraded brakes be it 307hdi,206gti etc i will need to fit 1.9 hubs. will 306 hdi hubs fit and what driveshafts should i use -1.9 gti ones? there is a 306 hdi (i think) at my local scrappy with complete brakes hubs disks etc , and i was wondering wether to nab them for future use. Anthony 1,003 Posted September 21, 2006 306 HDi brakes are 266mm and worth getting. 306 TD brakes are 247mm and pretty rubbish to be honest...

pug_ham 244 3 Cars Posted September 21, 2006 306TD brakes are the exact same as 1.9 GTi brakes afaik. ok , cool, but say it is the hdi will the hubs themselves fit? I think so but if they do you'll need 1.9 GTi driveshafts. This topic should cover it in detail. Graham.

ZX TD's have 1.9 Girling calipers, but 306 TD's have some other brand of caliper which I've completely forgotten (not Bendix/Lucas/Girling, but the other one) Atleast some 306 hubs are the same/interchangeable, although I've never confirmed that HDi ones are. The calipers could be ATE but everything should bolt up the same if the hubs on earlier 306's are interchangable with the 205 ones as we understand they are. Either way they are no different in size to the standard discs & the ones you want are ones from a 306 hdi. Graham.
