suth82 0 Posted September 19, 2006 I've got the ITG Twin Trumpet Filter from pugspares which does the job perfectly. Paul
Guest ashnicholls Posted September 19, 2006 I think if you have the money. K&N, are the way to go. With life long guarentee. And look very good, and can be washed. Cost me £108 from Burton Power for 100mm ones.
Dazza 4 Posted September 19, 2006 Consider using a single or one piece filter with a backing plate as this aids in keeping some balance with the carbs ,as you know the carbs are moving all the time on the mounts . the piper cross foam set up looks tidy or go for the carbon airbox like Jon mergies as these are proven to really work well on the 205 mi . Guest ashnicholls Posted September 19, 2006 K&N's are a brilliant anti theft device for you Webers, as they are an art to get on an off. How do the airbox's work, I read some crap article about it, but it never explained why. How does boxing it in a chamber, but a positive pressure on the system, especially when you are putting one filter on, that must be smaller than a set of K&N's. Jonmurgie 2 Posted September 19, 2006 Glad no one has suggested filter socks yet cause the zap power! Ideally just something like a pipercross or ITG foam filter with backing plate is best I'd say
Guest ashnicholls Posted September 19, 2006 Whats wrong with K&N's why is no one promoting them except me?
mickie 3 Posted September 19, 2006 (edited) K&Ns are more like a sieves than a filters Edited September 19, 2006 by mickie
christopher 5 1 Cars Posted September 20, 2006 Another vote for ITG. They can flow air through the top unlike K&N's
Guest ashnicholls Posted September 20, 2006 Eh? I thought foam was crap, even if they can flow through the top, you cant beat the flow through the sides?
rescue dude 0 Posted September 20, 2006 K&N's are the one's you want. An airbox if you can get one to fit and flow smoothly is preferable.

Dazza 4 Posted September 24, 2006 Interesting this about the foam debate ,ime my 205 does seem a quicker toy without them fitted and is more responsive to .i did have it set up with them fitted though i wonder if this would have strangled it a little ? giving more ge ge's readout .... dazza
