James_m 0 Posted September 14, 2006 Right, got some new mounts from pug a few weeks back, didnt look to closely as i havent fitted them yet, however..... on closer inspection it would appear that one is quite clearly longer than the other, the new one being on the left. It also differs in instead of the gay torx bit on the old mount which usually rounds, its hexagonal(?) so a socket would fit on the top. So, is this just an update pug have brought it, or is this the wrong mount? Cheers James.
welshpug 1,657 Posted September 14, 2006 the old one would have been com, pressed by the weight of the engine over the many years its been on (15 plus??) as you may have noticed the slots around the sides are the same though. as for the tool required youll just need an allen key, make sure its a good fitting one and grease the bottom surface as well as the threads. use a torque wrench too.
