the calipers have written on them

and the disks are brembos 297mm

on the disk is

559

on the box is

any idear what these are and is it possible to fit them to my 1.9 205?

take some piccies, but if the disc isnt actually touching theres nowt to worry about.

as for what you need to fit them they should just fit the existing hose and hub carrier if you have the cirrect caliper carrier.

youll also need bigger wheels....

15" Wheels fit ok. the outer most edge of the disks are allmost touching the bridge of the caliper and i have seen everything jam up before when the disk expands.

GTI-6 brakes come with 283mm discs, not 297mm.

They do have 57mm caliper pistons though. Have a look on brakepart.co.uk and brakeworld.com.

Perhaps the discs you have are for the 406 V6.

my disks are actually 279mm not 297mm that i wrote before

cheers for that, i will check now,

i have also found that both the callipers are for the same side.

if i use them i will have to take the caliper off from one side to bleed it as the nipple will be at the bottom!

I think you might have received 406 items. Also 57mm, but offset is different so they won't fit at all.

they are on and work very well. i had to grind some of the metal away from the bridge on the calipers and a bit on the yokes but the now fit fine.

the problem i have now is that the pads are not covering the disk. the outside edge of the pad is about 10mm from the outside of the disk.

if i come across any 269mm ish disks i will swap them over.

anyone know what they would be off?

Sounds like you have 406 calipers which come with shorter yokes/Carriers will work with 266mm disks from a 306 S16 after a bit of modifying!
