Lowered Springs On Standard Shocks?

I want to lower my 205 gti!!! i however dont have much cash and was thinking of goin for lowering springs and just keeping the standard shockies? whats the ride quality like when doing this? im alsso gonna lower the torion bar to match btw...

Depends what springs you use I guess but I have sbc lowering springs on standard shocks (25mm lower) and there is a significant improvement in its grip around corners. Its a bit less comfortable to drive over bumps but thats the choice you make...

I have eibach springs. They seem to be a little bit more than the usual 35mm drop advertised (or at least they were before I fitted Group N top mount rubbers, which raise the height by about 5-10mm).

 

I find the ride to be too bouncy TBH.
