Recommended Posts

madspikes

As a part of my supercharging project I need a crank pully that will fit the 8v crank that has 6 groves / ribs, ideas anyone? Someone suggest a zantia one might do it, but I need to confim this. I dont want to get one machined unless totally necessary.

Thanks

mad.

its not a very helpful post, but do forum searches mate. back when i was doing a supercharged projcet i found out all the information i ever needed. only thing i wasnt sure on was a pulley belt and how to bastardise an inlet manifold... and thus overtime i got fed up of making no progress and dfropped the project.

from memory there is a diesel citroen xu9 with a 6 tooth pulley but i couldnt tell you which one it is. oh and the pulley diamater was perfect for a 2:1 ratio against the standard eaton m45 pulley so 7k engine rpm would be 14k charger rpm

I had done a quick search but couldnt find anything that helped.

However your message got me thinking, diesel xu9 like the one found in the 306 (which I have, how stupid do I feel) So I think I just need to look for a 306 / 406 / xantia with PAS.

I have most things covered on the supercharger front, once things get moving I will post pictures of my progress as I know many people have a E45s knocking around!

yep i expect as soon as one person does it we will see a few more suddenly come out of the woodwork. I think a charegd 8v would be quite tasty
