andymi16 0 Posted September 2, 2006 Guys Almost finished the engine swap from mi to 1.6. This car will now be the daily runaround. I have two plugs in the engine managment loom that I cannot identify: A white 5 pin and fairly chunky black single pin. They make their way alongside the AFM/Injector wiring and end near the battery/Gearbox area. Any idea what they are for? I think everything is accounted for so I'm alittle confused! Thanks Andy
andymi16 0 Posted September 2, 2006 The white 5 pin has the following wires: 1 - White 18 2 - Blue 4 3 - Green & Yellow M1 4 - empty 5 - White 33A (or 30A - not very clear) The Black single pin plug has two wires joinging together a thin Green and yellow (from the white 5pin plug detailed above) and a thick Green and yellow. Any ideas where they are coming from and going to? Thanks.
M@tt 77 Posted September 2, 2006 well White 18 - comes from the tachymetric relay and splits and goes to 1)All the 4 injectors 2)Supplementary air device (SAD) 3)Throttle switch 4)ECU so i'm guessing this is a switched live The Green & Yellow M1 - Is a earth wire Blue 4 - this is a switched live that goes to the ECU 30A - i think comes from the oil level indicator unit?? 33a - is one of the injector wires HTH
andymi16 0 Posted September 2, 2006 Thanks M@tt. I'll give that ago in the morning. Where do you reckon is the best place to steal the switched live from? Cheers Andy
andymi16 0 Posted September 3, 2006 Ok. Wired switched live to white-18 and blue-4, earthed the Green and yellow-M1. Turned the key... and she fired up! Thanks again M@tt Still confused on the last wire - White 33A of 30A of 35A - its not very clear! Does anyone else have this 5 pin white plug around the batery area? Loom is from a 1990 1.6.
