Simon B 3 Posted September 2, 2006 Hello all! As im sure many of us have done in the past, i recently removed my starter motor (Mi16 with BE1 box) but didnt actually pay any attention to where the small spring thats related to the clutch arm fits? Can anybody describe where it fits (and what its function is?)? Thanks very much! Nige P.S. i have searched already and read about 20 threads on related stuff, but nothing that i saw explained about the spring!
Higgy 0 Posted September 2, 2006 Hi, I put the said spring on today after refitting my 1.6 'box. It goes either side of the metal pin that fits between the clutch arm and the pivot that the cable connect to (sorry for crappy explaination!). So you hook one end onto the clutch arm where the metal pin is, and the other end onto the piece of metal which pivots and other end of the metal pin sits in. Higgy. Guest ashnicholls Posted September 2, 2006 Yes as higgy says, There are no holes or specific places for it to go, as you can see. It just tolds the arm against the fork to stop the dowel falling out.
