Sam 4 Posted August 31, 2006 I can get 86.5mm pistons off the shelf from DP for a good price, I'm just not sure if its worth holding out for the extra cc's the 87mm ones would give, I'm going to be using a 88mm crank and a blower strapped to the engine. Anyone care to comment or know where I can find alternate pistons?
Sandy 191 Posted September 1, 2006 Are you really going to notice the difference?
Sam 4 Posted September 1, 2006 That's my question really. It's 2044cc -> 2093cc
Ryan 99 Posted September 1, 2006 With the 88mm crank won't it by 2069cc -> 2093, so it's even less of a difference?

I think sam is talking about the difference between 86mm & 87mm not 86.5mm but what is the difference in cost? TBH I doubt they will make that much difference in outright power. Graham. Sam 4 Posted September 1, 2006 (edited) Yep Ryan, you're right actually! I was thinking of 86x88, which is actually 2045cc and not 2044cc, so I was wrong on all accounts Edit: So I may as well stick to 86.5mm Edited September 1, 2006 by Sam
