Hi i've got a 8valve 1.9 205 on Webers. It's been lightened and balanced etc. etc.

I'm still running the same s*itty standard dizzy. Someone recommended a place to rebuild a dizzy for me as mine doesn't do a lot if you advance or retard it on the rollers.

My question is i now have a spare dizzy off a 1.6 GTI if i get this rebuilt with a modified curve etc will it fit on my 1.9?

The numbers on the side are completely different.

H&H solutions are the company people use to get their dizzy rebuild and advance curve altered

That's who i'm going to use but they're unsure if the spare one i have will fit.

Does anyone know if all the GTI distributors are more or less the same?

I don't want to pay £60 or so and find it wont work on my 1.9.

Identical in every way bar the curve so I've been told.

Same for AFMs where its all the same bar the initial setup.

Thats what i thought but wanted confirmation.

As long as it drops in the end of the cam everything else will be changed for a better curve.

The guy on the dyno was well confused with the old one because no matter what he did it got no better. :)

I'll be off to H&H later today hopefully.
