Dp Engineering Manifold

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have any photos or links to photos of DPs 16v turbo manifolds on a working engine in a car? Need to see how much clearance I will have with regards to bulkhead and my rollcage.

Thanks

Paul.

Have tried that, not really much help. Dont think they have uploaded all their project cars up on the new site yet.

Thats what I was wondering Stu, as my cage comes out of the bulkhead... There used to be numerous pics around the web but they all seem to have gone!

i dont think that 205 is using the dp engineering manifold (t16 possibly?), if you look at the other projects it states them using it this one does not.

the zx is using the dp manifold

Hi Paul, that first picture is the manifold that dave made first for his own mi16 turbo and was later sold to a client.

The second picture is the manifold as sold by DP now.

Did you try mailing them for some pics yet?

Cheers for that lads. My email is pdd144c@hotmail.com Sam, would be great to try your manifold for fit if you wouldn't mind. Needs to fit in this gap:

It will fit without problems. Pieter has the same manifold in his 205 S16 turbo. No clearance issues whatsoever.

Even with the cage coming through the bulk head Hilgie?

As far as I can see it is no problem. It is the later item you will get when you order, not the early ones that go over the camcover (which would have had a clearance issue!).

The 16v kit on the website works out at around £1520.

That doesn't seem too bad does it?

Would you need to run a fifth injector and controller and use a thicker head gasket to lower compression to get it up and running? Or am I way off the mark and more would be needed. Obviously making sure the engine was in good condition first with possibly a rebuilt.

Or get forged pistons. Not sure I'd go the plate route, running two head gaskets doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

It is a 1mm steel plate sandwiched between two headgaskets. From what I've heard from Pieter it works very well.
