roland rat 11 Posted August 29, 2006 ive got a full magnex system for my 205 gti to fit and after the centre box started to blow i feel nows the right time to put it on the car.the only issue i have is how will removing the cat affect my car?will it run lean/rich as the lamaba sensor is not fitted?any other possible gremlins that could turn up due to me fitting the exhaust? thanks ashley Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I decatted mine and it's passed every MOT since (4 years) - on a Dec92 K reg. I also had a full magnex exhaust fitted at one point - I managed to fit a stainless lambda boss onto the manifold (on the collector section I recall). It is very tight for space but it fitted. Once I had drilled the hole and pushed the boss into place I got a local fabricator to TIG weld it in position. Mart Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Mart its on an l-reg aug 93'.i might look into buying a 'sports' cat and mix it with the magnex system and manifold.how close is your 205 on the emmisions test?
