Guest gazz_the_lad Posted August 27, 2006 hi people. ok i bought my 205 mi16 a few months ago, was a 1.6 gti to begin with, its now running pretty crap, checked it out and its not sparking properly, quick inspection inside the cap and its well passed its best so new plugs, leads and cap it is. the car has twin 45's with a distributor adaptor. can someone please advise on which cap and leads i require? thanks Gary Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Dino 3 Posted August 27, 2006 If it's running a dizzy adapter then it's most likely running a 1.6 GTi cap and leads (which I think are the same as 1.9 GTi items) I'm sure someone else may well verify this (or put me right if I've got it wrong!) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Miles 331 1 Cars Posted August 27, 2006 Depends on the year of the car, the earlier 1.6's used a different cap and leads, But if it's a screw on cap it's the same as the 1.9 or a clip on Cap it will be a early 1.6 type Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
