c_r_thomson 0 Posted August 25, 2006 How on earth do you remove the top left engine mount rubber!?!?!? Jacked up the engine and removed the metal mount. Can't for the life of me get the old rubber mount out! Any ideas?
Alastairh 47 Posted August 25, 2006 Meaning the one on the drivers inner wing? Decent chisel hit it with a relevent twating stick in the anti clock wise direction and SHOULD come out. Alastair
c_r_thomson 0 Posted August 25, 2006 Yeah, that's the bugger! I'll have it off in the morning! Cheers
Guest rick03054 Posted August 25, 2006 Be careful though, I'd advise you to spray a LOT of release oil onto the captive nut underneath. I may just be unlucky but this just happened to me. Literally half an hour ago coincidentally.

rogerrally 0 Posted August 27, 2006 Dont forget to put in the new side support rubbers, before putting the engine extension mount back on, you cant fit them if the allybracket is already in the way
GLPoomobile 958 Posted August 28, 2006 Thanks for the advice guys got it!!!! Now for the bottom one! Sooooo, how did you do it in the end? I've had a new mount hanging around for over year. In fact I bought it for my last 205 and never got around to doing it Reading this makes me think I'm better off leaving well alone
c_r_thomson 0 Posted August 28, 2006 I used the hammer and chisel method! I sprayed the bottom of the mount with wd40 the day before and when i started tapping away it slowly began to turn A few more taps and it unscrewed by hand. Well chuffed. I tried doing the bottom one without removing the driveshaft but it ain't happening!
