veloce200 3 Posted August 23, 2006 Modifications to my car are going to necessitate the fitting of power steering. Just wondering if anyone had fitted a power steering system to a non-pas GTI and what parts they had used. Obviously would be great if I could just reuse existing stuff of another PSA group car. I do however want to go the electric route to keep plumbing and weight balance right. greatful for any help thanks
feb 47 Posted August 23, 2006 (edited) Talk to Miles, he fitted my 2nd hand PAS setup I had(pump, container, engine mount and pipes); probably best though to go for electric setup from a saxo/106 as the pump will be newer. Miles 331 1 Cars Posted August 23, 2006 I was going to use a 106 leccy pump on a 205 but the pump didn;t work and I never got around to doing this mod, Looks easy as even the pipes have the right fittings on

veloce200 3 Posted August 24, 2006 thanks all. i'll look into that. I did consider a bigger steering wheel and weight training but I think as I still use it on the road PAS will make it more enjoyable.
