Adnic69 0 Posted August 23, 2006 I am looking for some 307 brakes but for the life of me I can't find any to buy. I am tempted to just buy the wilwood ones on ebay on the link below. Does anyone have them or know anything about them? I know that they are the smaller disc but have read there are problems with the 283mm disc and fitting. Or does anyone have any for sale???? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WILWOOD-4-POT-CALIPE...1QQcmdZViewItem
mfield 20 Posted August 23, 2006 I used to have those wilwoods and was impressed, the pedal bite was still at the top so was no need for a bigger m/c. The one problem with them is the lack of dust covers on the pistons, i used some brake friendly grease for protection and cleaned them when ever changing p&d's. Almost forgot you'll need longer flexi hose's because the pickup on the caliper is further away, rally design supplied two front braided lines for a good price
Jonmurgie 2 Posted August 23, 2006 (edited) I have them on my track car here http://www.mdracing.co.uk and quite rate them... I picked mine up second hand and they no need new pads so hoping it will give them a bit more bite but generally I've not had any problems with them other than being a bit tight under the 15" Speedlines! Adnic69 0 Posted August 23, 2006 Is that with a 285mm disc or 260mm?
mfield 20 Posted August 23, 2006 Believe it or not but the 260mm's are close on a 15" speedline aswell, but to the inner edge not the outer

mfield 20 Posted August 26, 2006 Is that there close but they still fit fine or they catch in places? they can catch depending on if you have speedlines or smr's i believe, if you look on both the inner moldings they're different ( crazy i know ) I had the smr's and needed to grid the wheel by about 1-2mm because i'd hate to sand the caliper, i figured good balancing would sort the wheel out and it did
easypug 0 Posted August 28, 2006 Good to hear as i was looking at these brakes also. Did you get yours from the same seller Mfield? Also what pads are you running with that setup?
mfield 20 Posted August 28, 2006 Good to hear as i was looking at these brakes also. Did you get yours from the same seller Mfield? Also what pads are you running with that setup? I bought mine from rally deisgn and couple years back, i was suing what ever pad they came with but i found they needed changing after about 6k miles. The next set i got were the ones for big cars like cossie's and subaru's, they feel crud for about 30-60 secs before warm but the bite was nearly as good as the previous pads. On plus side they seemed to last twice as long
