John_205_GTi 0 Posted August 23, 2006 I think i have a problem with my master cylinder, but i'm not sure. When i press the brake pedal it goes firm like it should but then creeps down slowley then the brake fails, sometimes it doesnt go firm at all and needs a second pump to stop the car. does anyone know what the problem might be? thanks john Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Ahl 4 Posted August 23, 2006 That doesn't sound like air in the system to me. Check your master cylinder resevoir to see if its losing fluid. Chances are that you need a new master cylinder though - it fails in this way quite commonly. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
