Jakob 1 Posted August 22, 2006 (yes i have searched)what mods do you have to do in order to fit the gti 6 box to a 205 mi16?can i keep the pull type for reverse as the be3 box is?(please no smart coments)thanks I made a thread about this a year or two ago - and it is gone now??? can't find it. Anyway it is very easy. 1) fit your clutch fork arm into the 306 GTI box (we want the push system, not the pull as in 306 GTI box) 2) fit your clutch/fork bearing as well 3) fit your speed sensor - remove the digital from 306 GTI 4) fit your upper gear fork. By doing this there is a potential risc of lowering the gear axel and turn it up some where which seems just normal. However it isnt -> you are stock with 1-4 gear no 5,6,reverse. This was what my missing thread was about. I have the description and solution here: http://www.powerforum.dk/viewtopic.php?t=12415&start=90 it is on the middle of the page with english labels in the pictures. In short terms, when lowering the gear axel -> dont turn it That's it! Oh yes, you are stock with a smaller turning radio when going right. However this was no problem for me besides when doing a 3 angle turn - then it is a pain in the ass hahaha. All in all a good upgreat gearbox as I see it.
