Central Locking Buzzing Randomly

Heres a weird one for you. My central locking occasionally buzzes away for no reason, lasts maybe 15 seconds, completely random. It happens with the ignition off and from under the car it sounds not unlike a car about to fall off it's axle stands! You can imagine how much skin I lost getting out of there the first time it happened

 

The central locking isn't working so it's probably just some loose connection or slightly misalingedpart but damn it was scary!
