matt205xs 0 Posted August 18, 2006 I have just been looking at an R1 carbs and on the top is a black plastic cap with a diaphram inside, i have been told it acts as a fuel pump to the chambers? is it best to blank these off when using a facet red top? allanallen 528 2 Cars Posted August 19, 2006 not really sure what you mean mate but mine havent got any kind of fuel pump. fuel feeds in underneath throgh an 8mm brass coloured pipe. the choke is fed throgh another 8mm pipe on the side into a sort of fuel rail which comes out of the opposite side of the carbs. there are 2 more pipes at the top of the carbs which you leave open. hope this makes sense and is of some help. If you can post some pics up it might be easier to see which bit you mean. al
