smighall 1 Posted August 15, 2006 Hi guys, I'm nearing completion of my gti6 conversion with just the cooling pipes to sort. However i'm failing to see where i can put the pip from the bottom of the header tank? Normally it goes to the distribution block on the back of the 205 lump but with the 306 it only has 2 outputs, one from the rad and the othr to the heater matrix. Where have people plumbed there's into who have done this before? Cheers Sean
Dixon 1 Posted August 15, 2006 I've Tee'd it into the hose that connects to the top heater matrix connection. Where have you connected your oil cooler up to?
smighall 1 Posted August 15, 2006 I have got an oil to air cooler coming so have ditched the standard water cooler, and am using a 406 pipe from the stat to the rad.
Dixon 1 Posted August 15, 2006 Nice, so have you connected the 2 outlets from the engine straight to the 2 outlets of the heater matrix so far?
smighall 1 Posted August 15, 2006 Yes, that's about as far as i got with it at the moment.
Dixon 1 Posted August 16, 2006 Thats the same as what I've done with mine and it seems to be good so far. Been running it for 4 months and a few track days. Have ran the bottom heater matrix pipe in to the bottom engine outlet (with the oil cooler T'd in to it) and the top heater matrix pipe in to the top engine outlet (with the expansion tank T'd in to it).
