Ryan 99 Posted August 11, 2006 Do these exist? I've been searching everywhere, but nobody seems to be able to get anything smaller than 12mm for 1/4" pipe. The only reason I want them is because I've lost the 3/16 die from my pipe flaring tool and don't fancy paying £20 for a whole new set, so I thought I could use 1/4 pipe and put the smaller nuts on it. Guest rick03054 Posted August 12, 2006 Can I be a bit cheeky and butt into this topic a bit by asking if changing the diameter of the brake pipes has any effects on the system. I know nothig about fluid dynamics and never quite got round to learning. Seems relevant to the topic tough?
wildejon 7 Posted August 12, 2006 Try this lot: http://www.brake-pipe.co.uk/index.html I reckon if you ask them, they'll try to help... (I'm not sure if they have what you are asking on their site though) They have been great supplying me bits for my kit car.
base-1 17 Posted August 12, 2006 I'm sure I got some from a local supplier to fit my hydraulic handbrake cylinder, must be fairly readily available?
Ryan 99 Posted August 12, 2006 I've been to every motor factors in town and I've looked through dozens of websites, but nowhere I can find has them. It seems that 10mm is for 3/16" pipe only, and the smallest anybody can get for 1/4" pipe is 12mm.
