nick 3 Posted August 8, 2006 I've just rung two Pug' dealers, Derby and Ilkeston, and neither of them recognised part numbers taken from the CD!!?? (at Ilkeston, when I asked for "valve stem oil seals" he asked me if they were in the engine........!) I was after some valve stem oil seals, camshaft oil seals and some conrod bolts. Has anyone else had this problem? Nick
Guest 205_dave Posted August 9, 2006 Never had any problems using the part numbers from the CD. Sounds like the guy you spoke to didnt really know what they were doing though if they were asking if the seals are in the engine!
pug_ham 244 3 Cars Posted August 10, 2006 That doesn't sound right, I doubt they'd change the numbers just because the car hasn't been made for over 10 years. (Blame the machine operator). AFAIK 205007 (adam) works at Peugeot in Derby so maybe drop him a pm to check it out for you? Graham.
Hilgie 16 2 Cars Posted August 10, 2006 Sometimes numbers are changed, I had that too, but the Peugeot systems always comes up with an alternative partnumber when they enter the old part no. If it doesn't, they are probably too lazy to enter the 'lookup key'. LOL
