Recommended Posts

Hi there

looking for the dimensions of the gaz coil over springs. are they 8 x 2.5 inch or 10 x 2.5 inch? or something completely different.

currently have 275lbs need softer ones to sort out the bouncy bouncy handling.

They are the std 2 1/4" diameter springs which are dirt cheap from Demon Tweeks etc,

Common thing with the Gaz I'm afarid so the spring rate needs to go at least double of what you have,

Hi miles, thanks for the dimensions do you know if they are 8" or 10" in length, just to get the ride height correct..

Also in the post you mentioned

the spring rate needs to go at least double of what you have,
I thought the 225lbs springs were reduced spring rate.... i'm confused!?!??

The spring height can be anything really from 4" up are fairly std, Your right about the 225lb spring but to get them to work on a RS Turbo we used 900lb on the rear and 750's on the front from memory

I bought two kits directly from GAZ, The standard kit came with 275lbs 10" (2,25" ID) springs while the Competition kit came with 325lbs 8" (2,5" ID)

If there the single rebound type, there not very good on the bump as there isn;t any, hense the high spring rate to over come this issue, The later ones and more expensive do use bump in the damper.

Avo use the same thinking.
