Rob Thomson 6 Posted August 6, 2006 The headgasket's gone on the TU2J2 engine in my 106 rally car. I'm wondering what to do; whether just to fix it, have it completely rebuilt, or have it completely rebuilt and breathed on. The problem is I don't know much about TUs having had XUs for so long. Does anyone have any recommendations for companies who would make a good job of a rebuild, or any reputable tuning companies who would be able to help? Thanks, Rob. Jonmurgie 2 Posted August 6, 2006 Matt @ QEP knows a fair bit about the TU engine as well as the XU so drop him a PM or email mate
Rob Thomson 6 Posted August 6, 2006 Thanks chaps - I was going to give QEP a call anyway although I hadn't realised Matt had any experience with the TU. GMC are based in Scotland, which is probably a bit far... Also wondering whether just to drop in a 16V and be done. Bollocks, too much to think about...
