205 Pulling On Accleration

hi guys

 

Anyone got an idea of what might be wrong with the car,

symptoms being

 

If you boot the car quickly it Tugs to the left for a second,

then if you lift off it tugs to the right, again just for a moment.

 

could it be gearbox mount??

 

any help appreciated thanks!! :ph34r:

I had this, it's going to be the passenger side wisebone bush, probably the front one.

 

Jack the car up and grab the wheel. Try moving the wheel in every direction and check for play in the wishbone.

 

Took me about 1-2 hours to replace (1st time i had done one) and £45 for the part.

Where the hell is your main dealer?????? Pug Parts manager lives 2 doors down and with my discount the wishbones complete with bolts are a LOT more than that.

 

I always run pattern ones and replace them roughly every 3 years.

thank god its just the bushes, i just bought a new arm to solve the exact same problem for £45 for non-pug parts!!!

 

phew! :(

Check for play in the hub/balljoint aswell. I had the same problem as you even after fitting polybushes, the hole in the hub that the balljoint pin goes into had ovalled out!
