Cooling Pipes

Recommended Posts

wildejon

In an effort to stop my car getting too hot (still) I just wanted to double check something. There are 2 coolant pipes coming out of the bulkhead (from the heater matrix AFAIK). I have them both going to the lower drivers side of the block. Does the one with the bleed nipple, the top of the two join the engine on the passenger side of the two pipes? With the lower one joining to the drivers side?

Does that make sense?!

Thanks in advance!

Jon

I'd have to check on mine but that doesn't sound right - can't se how you are going to get any water flow with both ends connected to the same place.

One of mine is connected to the block you are talking about but the other is connected to the thermo housing below the distributor. Im sure the other side of the block goes to the filler tank.

Maybe worth changing it to get a cycle if water?

There is a good diagram kicking about with plumping on it, ill hunt it out for u

Crikey, Im going mad. Just looked at my car and the top one goes to where I said. The lower goes to the thermo housing and the one from the bottom of the expansion bottle goes to the left of the block next to where the first pipe joins it (as you are looking at the engine).

I worry about myself sometimes...

cheers for your replies

Just looked at the link, looks like I've got it right :-)

That rules another potential c0ck up out!!

Cheers guys.
