TEKNOPUG 3 Posted August 2, 2006 I've got a couple of gauges that I want to fit and they both have small bulbs for illumination. I want to wire them into the lighting circuit so that they come on with the rest of the dash lights. Where is the best place to cut into? Ideally somewhere neat that doesn't require hacking into a switch or button. I'll more than likely fit both gauges in the radio slot, although I'm gonna try and put one in the drivers vent (52mm gauge - probably not gonna fit). jackherer 543 Posted August 2, 2006 Now I come to think about it I'm pretty sure theres a bulb on a flyoff from the loom that just clips on the plastic panel behind the ashtray and a bit to the right that would be ideal for what you want. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
TEKNOPUG 3 Posted August 2, 2006 I think your right. Difficult to picture it in my mind since the dashboard was stoved in with a crowbar. Gonna be changing the whole dash over so that should make it easier to identify. Don't think that I'm going to be able to install the business end of my temp gauge as it looks like I'm going to have to drill into the TB somewhere (or slip it under one of the boost pipes and pray that it doesn't snap a wire and jam into the butterfly - so probably not a great idea!). Still, it least I can get it to light up and give me some under-bonnet temp readings (not very useful...) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
