Heater Fan Problems...

Recommended Posts

westy

Hi,

Trying to get my heater blower to work at the moment - currently it works whenever I disconnect the contact board (behind the knobs) it works, but whenever I plug in the board (5 pin connector) it stops...

any ideas?

Ben :)

When you disconnect the fan control does the fan run at full speed? a mate had this problem with his 205, replaced the fan and this cured it (there is a circuit board on it which is the variable speed for the fan).

I had this when I got mine,if you look down by the fan and find the wires that go to it and follow these towards the centre consol one of the wires goes to a black box that screws up by the fan I think its called a reostat? (sp) mine was nackerd and I had the same fault as you

The fan doesn't run at full speed, about half speed I'd say. How easy is it to access the heater fan?

Thanks.
