I do indeed, but it can be tuned out.

I would recommend fitting it, if it isn't too expensive and if you don't like it, you can put the old one back.

Mine worked very well with a 4 branch manifold.

If you need any advice about jetting etc, I am happy to help.

I can't believe anyone would bid £112 for an old DGAS which probably cost the seller a tenner from a scrap yard.

Supppose thats a good point. There is pipercross "filter" included too I suppose. Personally I would go straight to twin 40's when it approaches that kind of money. Any twin choke carb will never perfom as good.

But a question of cashflow

That is quite a big price. Mine was £50 including manifold and PiperX filter.

Twin 40s would be significantly more than that though.

It's for the 'torch that you gain'...

Quotes:

"There is next to no messing around when it comes to putting it on to your car, the existing air intake manifold should allow this baby to sit right on top with no moddifiying the car."

"There is also a piper cross air filter for the carb as well but i never figured out how you put it on :D "

Never been fitted more like....

Anyway, this Carbretta (!) isn't from a 2.8 litre Capri, that was the Cologne engine with injection. This carb is from the 3litre Essex engine.

Isnt the float chamber in the wrong orientation , or does the manifold you use tun it through 90 Deg?

I was just about to post the same thing and saw you already had

Relisted due to time waster? More like the buyer pulled out when they realised he was talking b*llocks :D

When I asked if it had been rejetted to suit the 1.4 he said "no the bigger jets force more fuel in which makes it go faster"
