Mi16 Idle...

Recommended Posts

Done searching and ive come to the conclusion that my idle control valve must be playing up. When i adjust teh throttle screw it will idle perfectly at 1400 rpm but obviously thats far too high, this makes me think that the AFM is working ok????. When i unscrew it and allow the ICV to do its job the car struggles and drops to 500 and hunts around 500 to 1000 rpm.

Done the usual moving AFM and checked that it is connected ok

Anyone else think it must be the ICV?

Sounds like it could be ICV, have you tried unplugging it? If you do this the it should hold a steady but high idle, if it does I would try and get another idle valve to try out.
