j-16 1 Posted July 29, 2006 Don't ask how but I've managed to get a "no more nails" type adhesive/sealant/glue on my paintwork. Is there a solvent available that will remove this without taking my paintwork with it? I've tried t-cut but it's not helping. Thanks

j-16 1 Posted July 30, 2006 Actually it was a very dodgy bodyshop a couple of years ago, I've been trying to improve some of their bad workmanship but made it worse!
Ryan 99 Posted July 30, 2006 Pour boiling water over it and it should soften it enough to rub it off with your fingers.
sonofsam 5 Posted July 30, 2006 No more nails isnt water resistant, so maybe hot soapy water and a knife to get underneath it and ping it off..should crack off without damaging paintwork. If not TF-90 electrical cleaning solvent will get rid of most things.
j-16 1 Posted July 30, 2006 I think its a waterproof version of no more nails - somesort of outdoor grap adehisve. _ I'll have a go with the boiling water. Isn't TF90 just a degreaser?
PugAddict 0 Posted July 31, 2006 Use Autoglym Tar and Adhesive Remover, you can get it at Halfords. Just rub it on with a cloth and the adhesive comes away........winner D
ALEX 98 1 Cars Posted August 2, 2006 Have you tried turps? That doesn't damage the paint if you wash it off.
GLPoomobile 958 Posted August 2, 2006 Just don't try Cillit bang mixed with Petrol!! Did anyone see the story in the tabloids?

richard 0 Posted August 3, 2006 Well Leet.... i would advise you dont try it...unless you want a new form of air conditioning...ie no windows in your house. Its highly explosive when near an ignition source. http://www.metro.co.uk/weird/article.html?...81&in_page_id=
