206 Wheels?

Recommended Posts

Baz

Just acquired a set of Early (5 Spoke 15") 206 GTi wheels, pretty sure 206's are of a different offset, what spacers will i need for these to fit a 205?

Cheers, Barry.

Theoretically 10mm (19mm offset v's 29mm on the 206)....

I have seen GTi180 wheels fitted to a 205 with no spacers on the front (although the bottom of the spring cup needed 'modified' slightly), but you need @least something on the back.

180 wheels are ET25 and 7J wide. The wheels on my skip are 405 offset and also 7J and ET25. These ran fine on the front on 1.6 hubs but just lightly caught on the strut under load when I switched to 1.9 hubs with 309 arms, so I have put a 10mm spacer on them. 1.9 GTI wheels are only 6.5J too.

To answer your question, I would go with 10mm spacers all round to bring the offset to about ET15, but not sure on the width of a Sirrocco wheel (5 spoke fan type 206 one)
