ablister 31 Posted July 23, 2006 can anyone confirm the position of the valves when the cam pulleys are timed up? ie what valves are open and shut? Reason i ask is that i've just timed up my head before it goes on the block but realised that the pulleys can be turned around and never thought to mark the outer face of the pulley pretty sure it is the right way around as the dirty sides i've put to the outside but want to be 100% sure. I have 2 spare heads but they are both in bits and have not marked those pulleys either thanks, ali
petert 587 Posted July 24, 2006 If you dowel each pulley to the head, and dowel the crank, you can't go wrong.
