Change In Dipstick Design?

Recommended Posts

boombang

Just bought a new dipstick from Pug and the head seems to be slightly different.

Missus is out in the car at the moment so haven't checked its the correct one.

Wondering if Pug have altered the design to avoid the seal breaking off like the old ones.

Bear in mind I haven't bought a dipstick EVER from Pug so it may have changed years ago :D

also, while we are on the subject did they make a different dipstick tube, because mine snapped, and the bit i removed from the block only went into the block about 1", i have just got a new tube from a breaker, and this tube appears to need to go into the block about 4", why???????????????????????

No idea on the tube - AFAIK all the 8valve XU ones are the same part
