Bilstein Tarmac Or Gaz Compeition Rear Shocks?

I was hoping to get some of the Gaz competition coilover kits on the group buy but it has ended so I have just bought a set of Bilstein Tarmac coilovers and rear dampers for my track car. Currently I have a standard 309 GTi beam on with standard TBs. I am guessing the Bilstein Tarmac rears are designed to work with much thicker TBs, whereas the Gaz competition rears come with a fancy progressive bumpstop which according to the marketing can be used to have the same effect as thicker torsion bars. In addition the Gaz shocks are adjustable although I doubt i'll be scientific enough to experiment much.

 

What do you guys think? Would I be better off selling the Bilstein rears and going for Gaz's?

Call Gaz directly and you get better prices than anywhere else. I was quoted £50 each for the comp rears.

bilstein without a doubt. the GAZ rear dampers have no compression damping.
