Dan Ingram 1 Posted July 16, 2006 While showing an audi TT whos boss round some lanes today my car started billowing smoke out of the back, fearing the worst I pulled over and lifted the bonnet to find oil all over the place. It looks like it sprayed it all out from the dipstick tube, on further inspection the pipe that goes from the oil filler to the hose that connects the AFM to the throttle body was blocked, would I be right in thinking that there was too much crankcase pressure which has caused it to blow it all out???? If so has anyone else experienced this??. I cant find any loose hoses anywhere or burst ones and my oil pressure is still fine now i've topped it back up again, any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated
Pug_101 0 Posted July 16, 2006 Yes sounds right. You might want to do a compressions test just to make sure there's no lasting damage.
Capn. Pugwash 0 Posted July 17, 2006 I was at a track training day yesterday with my 205 and.....guess what??! The end busted off the dipstick and oil spewed out everywhere! I don't reckon I lost much cos the level wasn't too far down when I checked it afterwards. I put it down to crankcase pressure even though I wasn't driving hard (I'm a wimp ) I might check this pipe though- it could be a similar problem Sam
