Which Distributor Cap And Leads?

Recommended Posts

Bassman

I want to change the distributor cap and rotor and the HT leads but I don't know which type to get. GSF show two different models of dizzy cap and rotor, the leads I think I can work out.

My car is a limited edition 1.9 Phase 1.5 1990 so I think the HT leads I need are:

T92638 (older than '91)

The dizzy cap and rotor arm is either:

T92152 1.9i XU9JA

T92156 1.9i

Couldn't see any distinguishing features from looking at the dizzy early today. The HT leads currently fitted are BOSCH.

Any help would be appreciated.

Rob

Your cap will be a screw on type where the earlier ones are clip on & the HT leads ends are different Female on clip on caps & male one screw on caps).

Check they are the same when you get them but with GSF any part can be a monopoly sometimes.

I tried calling GSF and they seemed to struggle to tell me which I needed other than the Bosch ones were Male and the Ducellier were Female and then the fire alarm went off and the guy had to hang up on me!

I decided to go with the Bosch parts on the Neat Autos site and a Dizzy Cap, Rotor Arm and Leads with VAT and Shipping came to less than £35 (over £42 at GSF) so fingers crossed I've got the right ones!
