Recommended Posts

Guys I want to to introduce you to Guy Croft.

Guy is legendary in the fiat world for his tuning of the fiat twin cam engine. In fact he is the fiat twin cam mater worldwide. If anyone ever saw that episode of top gear where lotus tuned up a LADA, well it was guy that built the engine. Guy Croft racing engines is a small operation but well equipped for the job. He has had a lot of years in competition engines, including working as an Formula One engine builder and cnc machinist and working as a Chief Engineer for a major turbocharger manufacturer in Lincoln.

Anyway rant over. I know Guy because I have a fiat twin cam 124 spider.

Anyways I'm happy to say that he has started to use his expertise on other racing engines, vauxhall, cosworth etc etc. All the headwork results from hours on the flowbench..with many many years of experience..There is absolutly loads of information on his forum site http://www.guy-croft.com/ where you can ask the man yourself or view the fruits of his labour. I urge you guys to take a look at his site and be a part. He doesn't keep everything a secret so you can see the quality fo his work.

Below is a snapshot of a peugeot 306 S16 head flow figures that he has just finished doing for an irish tarmac racing engine. More details can be seen on this topic: Peugeot 306 S16 head preparation

Maybe it's just experimental error, but notice the lift under 2.5mm? It seems more than one person has problems getting them to flow well off the seat! And these were standard valves? It flows as well as the BV head I posted in this thread: (you need to convert the flow figures)
