M16 On Twin 45's

been looking at an 205 mi-16on twin 45's.when i asked the guy how did he get round the exhast maniflod problem(angle plate or modified bulkhead)he told me that i didnt matter as the mi on carbs doesnt need modification to the exhaust manifold.does any body have any

experiance

of this? thanks ashley

IIRC the tilted engine/bashed bulkhead/angled manifold, is purely to stop it interfereing with the bulkhead, and in no way is affected by the inlet!

 

the shortened inlet it to stop it fouling the rad when engine is tilted, i usually step the rad out slightly myself and keep the inlet lenth.

carbs make no difference to the exhaust, manifold or downpipe. if there is an Mi16 in a 205 something has been chnaged to make it fit...

i havent seen the car yet but when i do ill look out for whats been done for the engine to be fitted.thanks for the replies guys!!!! :lol:

I own a Mi16 205 on 2x45s and the bulkhead has been bashed. as previously stated the inlet is out the front and the exhaust is at the back. the fuel system is irrelevant to this.
