Phase1 To Phase 2 Rear Lights Conversion

Recommended Posts

inferno

As i have loads of phase 2 light sets, and remember how much of a pain they were to wire up, depending on demand im thinking of putting together a plug-and-play conversion.

bassicly id supply a complete set of phase 2 rear lights, including reverse lamp, with 2 mini link looms to connect them to existing phase 1 wiring. this would give you the option of removing them if u sell your car, or purely a 10 min conversion time to transform the rear look of your 205. initially im thinking of around 50 per kit, as going rate for lights is around 20-35quid. i have enough parts to build 2 kits already, but if theres demand ill need to order loom plugs and wire ect.

any thoughts on this welcome, and an indication of intrest so i can work out weather its worth my time doing this! cheers.

Sounds like a fair deal for those people who dont like wiring, who sells the lights for 35 quid though? cos i want some of that!!!

There's a member on the forum who already does the Phase 1 to Phase 2 looms, though not kits... I had one off him last yeah so try a search for the details

Thanks Jon.

I've done a couple of looms for people & imo (like many things) once you've done it once its easy.

Its a bit more than a 10 minute conversion tough, routing the wiring in can be a pain for the reversing light.

I reckon £50 is a fair price for the whole loom & all lights, I could do them for that price afaik although I'd have to box one up & check postage before I could confirm that would be the price.

I chop the old loom out of the scrap car as per my article on the main site & make up the loom from that.

Graham.

the guide on the main site is all you need if you ask me, although my reverse light doesnt work, but i think thats more due to the corroded wiring out of the donor car.
