Handbrake?

Recommended Posts

Billy_boy

hi guys

i was jus gettin into my 205 GTi this morning and noticed that the rear drivers wheel was very close to the arch. i have had the car lowered 35mm front and rear. i could fit my whole hand between the tyre and arch on the rear passenger side but not even a finger on the drivers side... so i took it over to a friends house to see if we could find out what it was. when i parked up again it was fine, both sides were even as they should be  we think its the handbrake...

any ideas?

your rear beam is dead, if the wheel is touching the arch its going to be beyond reconditioning too

(edit: I just reread that, do you mean the outer arch?)
