hengti 2 Posted July 2, 2006 isn't that some sort of coolant distribution block? i thought the temp switch was screwed into the block, next to the oil switch
Pugwebgeek 0 Posted July 2, 2006 isn't that some sort of coolant distribution block?i thought the temp switch was screwed into the block, next to the oil switch I thought the one screwed in to the block was for the instrument readout and the one circled in the picture here is for the engine ECU. I could be wrong but I've always thought it was that way around. Col
Guest ashnicholls Posted July 2, 2006 what i have not got an ECU? Its a carb engine, and will run on Twin 40's. Has anyone got any pics of this thing, of it on the block, cheers
Miles 331 1 Cars Posted July 2, 2006 There are 2 different types for the ECU temp sensor, Phase's 1, 1.5 and some Phase 2 use the system as per the pic, The later 92 onwards use the ECU temp sensor pluged in by the dash temp sensors which is allot better as it get's rid of the alloy housing
Guest ashnicholls Posted July 3, 2006 So if i have not got an ECU, and i have a silicon hose kit, should i just join the two peices of metal with a piece of metal tube. cheers
Guest ashnicholls Posted July 4, 2006 sorry i meant should join the tow hoses with a metal pipe as i have no ECU. cheers
pug309twin40s 1 Posted July 4, 2006 that bit on diagram is for the ecu temp sensor. as your running carbs ash you dont need that bit so your coolant hose just goes straight onto the connection on the side of the thermostat housing
