jim21070 2 Posted July 1, 2006 In addition to my French cars I also have a Ford Fiesta. Normally my Dad has custody of it. It has shagged rear trailing arm bushes and this evening I set about replacing them. They are an absolute mightmare to change without the special tool. A bit of careful application of hacksaw, punch and large hammer resolves that though. Getting them in needs a bit more finesse and I spent a long time looking around the workshop for suitable mandrels before resorting to the lathe to make some. Lo and behold my stash of rescued and kept for no particular reason Pug bits save the day. An 8V XU crank pulley, crank bolt washer and crank timing belt sprocket along with a long length of beefy studding make a perfect set of mandrels!
