PsychoSimon 0 Posted June 29, 2006 hi all. Would i be able to transfer all of the gubbins from a 405 td gearbox into a 406 petrol casing? The reason i ask is i have a naffed clutch, and dont fancy putting it back together again due to the hooking the fork behind the bearing malarky that im gonna have to go through. So would this work? and i presume i can use the clutch and flywheel from the 406 also so that i have a normal push type clutch that will save me from even buying a clutch because i have a good 406 one? I know it's bit of a pikey way to do it but where needs must etc regards, Simon
Miles 331 1 Cars Posted June 29, 2006 First of all what 406 is it? as if the V6 or Turbo then no it will not fit, If any other 1.8 or 2.0 petrol it will be fine but the arm again is the same with hooking the arm behind the bearing on the cover plate.
