Turbo Technics 1.9

Recommended Posts

I have noticed from looking at pis of some of the TT engined 205's on the members cars section and have noticed that most (with aftermarket cone filters) have the air flow meter running in a different direction to how Turbo Technics have it in their diagrams. Do i need new pipework for this?

TEKNOPUG

Just what you see in the pics really. You need a flexible hose joint to connect to the turbo inlet and then some suitably angles ali tubing. You can be clever and route the breather back into the intake like the original, but it's required. Sitck a big filter on the end (mine is from an RS500) and you're down. It's good for the torque figures compared to the original routing.

Just to reinforce what tekno says, make sure you use ali tubing. If you use steel the moisture in the intake can cause it to rust, whcih over time will be carried in to the turbo.

Also, demon tweeks do a shed load of universal filters so you can design your piping to pretty much anything you want, rather than one certain type of filter.
