Kent Cam Information

I found the paperwork for my engine and found that I have a PT26 Kent Cam. Also scribbled on the top of the receipt aer 0.018" and 106degrees - may or may not relate to the cam in question.

Anyone have a way of finding out how extreme (or not) this cam is?

Cheers

Rob, I had a list of the Kent cam spec staken from the Kent Cams website & just looked there are a couple of catalogues for download there now.

If they don't help let me know & I'll find my list & post it up (Just found it & the PT26 isn't listed).

Graham.

No such cam. It probably means PT36 which is functionally identical to the standard 1.9 gti cam. Maybe even 1bhp or so worse but not enough to notice.

Well I do remember that my engine builder had to ring Kent to get data on it as it wasn't in his cam book. It is an old cam, certainly not one currently on the books.

Not plannig on taking the dizzy off (had to replace the seal last time I did, might have to buy a job lot at this rate!) but I could double check the numbers if sure it is wrong.

Thanks for the input so far :)

Rob

P.S. I wouldn't be surprised if it virtually standard but it would be nice to know!
